Free Blood Pressure Checks
The Public Health Team have asked me to distribute the following information:
Know your numbers
Do you know your blood pressure numbers? One in three adults in the UK have high blood pressure.
Derbyshire County Council is encouraging people aged over 40 to get a free blood pressure check during Know Your Numbers week 8th to 14th September.
High blood pressure rarely has any symptoms which is why it is called the ‘silent killer’. The only way to know you have the condition is to get your blood pressure measured. If you’re over 40 you can get your blood pressure checked for free with an NHS Health Check at your GP, at most pharmacies and in some workplaces too.
